Commissioners Sworn In

On December 6th, six members of the Government Study Commission were sworn in by Judge Levine.

As their first order of business, they selected Rudolph Clarke, LLC as solicitor and the following officers:

  • Chair: Kofi Osei

  • Vice Chair: Jennifer Foster

  • Chair Pro Tempore: Christina Gallagher

  • Secretary: Gisela Koch

  • Vice Secretary / Treasurer: Martin Cohen

  • Vice Treasurer: Mark Warren

They also selected the following statement of purpose: The purpose of the study is to explore the ways home rule could change the outcome of the pending sewer sale, explore the ways home rule could add citizen participation through referenda, and explore the ways home rule could add transparency to Towamencin's operations.

Starting January 4th, they will have meetings on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7pm at the municipal hall on 1090 Troxel road. They will be doing a lot of logistics works over the next month to make sure the study goes well, but in the meantime, you may contact the commission by emailing TowamencinGSC@googlegroups.com.
