Stop the Towamencin Sewer Sale

The Home Rule Charter is in effect!

Despite the Home Rule Charter now being in effect, the Board of Supervisors has refused to abide by it and will instead move forward with the sale to PA American. Similarly, PA American has stated they intend to move forward with the contract.

Several Towamencin citizens are suing the township to have the Charter enforced.

Citizens from all political backgrounds have spoken out against the sale, but the Board authorized it anyway.

Residents raised many concerns at two Town Hall meetings, multiple Board meetings, and Municipal Authority meetings. They demanded a transparent conversation about the impact this sale would have upon the community. Instead, the Board plowed ahead without citizen support.

Towamencin residents voted to adopt a Home Rule Charter that prohibits the sale of the sewer system, effective July 1, 2023.
